FELLOWSHIP VISIT TO LORDINGTON LAVENDER
Kings College Hospital London Haematology Department is an important medical science research and treatment centre that is supported by the Lions International Blood Research Appeal (LIBRA). President Lynne and Lions Pat and Vicki from Southbourne Lions visited the Department on 29th May along with other Lions Clubs for the annual LIBRA update. This was provided by lectures about the blood diseases the unit treats (blood cancers and Sickle Cell Anaemia) and a visit to a recently refurbished unit (opened by Dame Kelly Jones) made possible by support from Lions Clubs.
Being part of Southbourne Lions Club is about serving our local community by raising funds to support local charities and good causes, details about our activities can be found here on our website.
As well as this we find time to enjoy fellowship activities and a recent visit to Lordington Lavender was one such time. As you can see from the photograph we are a friendly bunch and we welcome new members.
