YOUNG CARERS ENJOY THEATRE MAGIC
Fifteen Young Carers from Bourne Community College, Southbourne were treated to an afternoon filled with daring adventure, heartfelt moments and lots of laughs provided by this year's Chichester Youth Theatre show, A Boy Called Christmas.
It was a magnificent production involving a large number of aspiring young actors in wonderfully colourful costumes. The Young Carers were absolutely spellbound with the magical tale of a land called Elfhelm and the true story of Father Christmas.
Young Carers are all under 18 years of age and have caring responsibilities for loved ones at home and therefore have reduced social opportunities. Outings such as this means that our local Young Carers are able to enjoy an event with their peer group.
The theatre trip was arranged by the Southbourne Lions and paid for by the generosity of our local community primarily via donations to the Christmas Sleigh collections.
