DAY OF FUN ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG CARERS

Once again thanks to our community’s kind donations plus a generous bursary from the Christian Youth Enterprises (CYE) the Southbourne Lions were able to fund a day of fun activities in the half-term break for the Young Carers from Bourne Community College.

A huge thank you to all the staff at the CYE for the care and effort they all put into the day to make it really special.

The day dawned with fabulous weather so that in the morning the youngsters were able to kayak from CYE to Bosham and then moor up for a picnic on the green, followed by a ball game. They then kayaked back to CYE where they had a swim. The afternoon consisted of archery, climbing and caving. A lovely day enjoyed by all.

Southbourne Lions feel privileged to fund this important time for these young people, who gave us a shout out in their school assembly.
